We wish to invite you to the 16th International Symposium on Aquatic Plants. The meeting will be held in Aarhus in Denmark, between the 14-19th of June 2020. The aim of the conference is to promote debate on all issues relating to the science and management of aquatic vegetation. Interest in aquatic plants has been growing and diversifying and to reflect this there will be a wide Scientific Programme, which will appeal to scientists and managers. Further, pre-symposium activities such as workshops on species identification and aquatic plant functional traits will be offered to strengthen the output of conference participation.
It gives us great pleasure to be able to provide you with a venue in Denmark. During the mid-week excursions, we will visit some of the extraordinary restored ecosystems in Denmark such as the Skjern River and Lake Fil. Following the conference, a post-symposium field trip to the abundant aquatic plant sites in Denmark will be offered.
Previous Aquatic Plant meetings have had an intimate and collegiate atmosphere which has facilitated discussion, formal networking and the enjoyment of delegates.
An International Scientific Committee oversees the conference and its outputs while a local organising committee looks after the conference management.
